Chernobyl: Huge arch to impede the radiation n Ukraine
The tragedy happened almost thirty years ago when the nuclear power station Chernobyl experienced the huge meltdown releasing massive volumes of radiation into the atmosphere.

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the donations from more than thirty different countries made it possible to construct an arch to cover the whole station and impede the radiation release. More than $1.7 billion was spent on the project. And soon in the honor of the Thirties anniversary of the tragedy on April 26 the arch will be brought into operation.

The Reuters state that the area around the station will still remind uninhabited. The families that left their homes after the evacuation are not allowed to go back due to the atmosphere conditions. The rescue team put their lives to stop the fire on the station. However, now they suffer from different health issues and lack of any social benefits.
