The official data-base contains DNA of 7,800 terrorist suspects
The official sources announced that UK police keeps track of the terrorist suspects with the help of their DNA data. The police reveal the exact number of suspects kept in the base which is approximately 7,800 people.
Previously, the base contained also the DNA information of people never been suspected of any terroristic activity. Thus, in 2012 after a certain regulation empowerment implemented by the Home Secretary more than a half of data-base contacts were forcibly removed according to the security measures.
Alastair MacGregor also mentioned in his report on March 11 that the number of people suspected in terroristic activity is growing and is now far bigger than it used to be, claims the Guardian. He also claims that he wanted to reveal the numbers before. However, he could only do it today after receiving the confirmation that this data will not contradict the national security measurements.
