First Ransomware Attack on Macintosh Users
A great number of Apple Inc users became the victims of the first ransomware attack in the Mac history, malicious software that encrypts computer data. It usually works as follows: the user downloads and installs a certain program on his computer, and thus, the virus starts encrypting the information on this PC from the hackers’ server.

Mostly the following attacks happened to the Microsoft users, but this Friday the hackers have attacked the Apple customers. The hackers made an infected copy of a well-known Transmission program and offered the users to install “the newest version” of it on Friday. If they did, they downloaded the ransomware to their Mac. Late that day the users were offered to pay 1 Bit-coin or $400 to retrieve their data or all their data would be removed on Monday.

The Apple Inc officials say that the action to prevent further infection is taken”: they offer their users to install a new version of Transmission that will automatically remove the ransomware if they think they might be infected. Meanwhile, the Transmission refrained from any comment.скачать dle 10.6фильмы бесплатно
