Millions of people living in the largest countries, are experiencing shortage of fresh water. Dutch scientists from the University of Twente conducted extensive study and found that the shortage of fresh water is observed not only in third world countries, but also in the most developed countries.

According to experts, a lack of drinking water is particularly acute in the south-western regions of the United States, in Australia, as well as in most of the settlements in India, Bangladesh, China, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan. The researchers assessed the future prospects and noted that the largest fresh water reserves will have almost all the countries of Eastern Europe, as well as Canada and Brazil.

According to statistics, four billion people, or two-thirds of the world's population, lack of fresh water.
