Saudis oppose the Arab League decisions
The Saudis left the scheduled meeting of the Arab League after a speech of the Foreign Minister of Iraq, Ibrahim al-Jaafari. The last one supports the ideology of the Shi'ite Hashd Shaabi, a military grouping.
The impending conflict between the Saudis and the Shi'ites started with the rising sectarian wars held in Iraq and Syria. The League has been a discussion platform between the Sunni countries and Shi’ites. The chief delegate of the Sunni countries has been the Saudi Arabia, while the Shi’ites are represented by Iran.
The Foreign Minister of Iraq mentioned in his speech that the military group of Shi’ites cannot be called terroristic, since it always fights for the Arabs’ dignity. He accused the opponents of the group of their terroristic intentions. After these words the Saudi delegated left the meeting. The spokesperson of the Minister refrained from any comments. The Reuters state that Morocco in its turn will not host the next Arab League meeting as it does not want to cover the lack of unity within the members of the group.
