Researchers found a way to return the memory in Alzheimer’s
After a series of probes conducted on mice in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the researchers claim that the memory that seems to be gone in Alzheimer’s patients can be returned. They say all they need to do is to artificially stimulate the nerve cells.

A team of scientists experimented on mice that seemed to suffer from a disease similar in its symptoms to Alzheimer’s. They exposed these mice to the electric shock and made sure the mice were afraid of the chambers where they experienced it. Later when the mice forgot about the painful experience, the scientists stimulated their brain cells with special light. The result was stunning: the mice showed fear when put into the chamber again.

The treatment technique is called optogenetics, and its usage only proves that the memory does not disappear but merely fades. So the only question is how to retrieve it. The investigations at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology are still going. The scientists admitted to the Guardian that even though they have found what seems to be a right track, they are still many years away from the real knowledge of whether the memory can be fully restored and in which way.скачать dle 10.6фильмы бесплатно
