Bank partner stole $25-million-worth investments
According to the Reuters, a trusted person at PJT Partners Bank stole $25 million from the investments fund. He was aiming to take more; however, he failed to do it.
The previous records show that Andrew Caspersen stole more funds from the account of the account by providing the investors with misleading information. As the evidence shows he used the money to trade; eventually, he lost $15 million and never gave them back covering the gap with different questionable transfers.
Caspersen is believed to follow his father’s lead. His father was a chairman in a big financial institution. His wealth reached almost $1 billion. He took his own life under the pressure of the investigation of the IRS in 2009. Caspersen Junior is also involved into fraud and stealing. His attorney claims that the defendant is mentally instable according to the thoughts he shared with the legal representatives and should be examined first.
