From Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York have demanded to return Picasso's picture
The claim with the requirement to return Pablo Picasso's picture which is, presumably, sold in 1938 during an era of Nazism and fascism in Europe is made to Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Reuters reports.

According to the agency, the complaint has been made in the Manhattan federal court by Paul Leffmann's descendant, the Jewish industrialist from Germany owning Picasso's picture, for the work "Actor" from the relatively short "pink" period in creativity of the master (1904-1905). Damages are assessed of 100 million dollars.

On a picture the tall and lean young man in a pink suit is represented. According to the complaint, Leffmann has sold "Actor" to two sellers of pictures in June, 1938 for 12 thousand dollars to run away to Switzerland from Benito Mussolini's regime in Italy where he with the wife has got over from Germany. Events were developed soon after Adolf Hitler's visit to Italy.

Metropolitan Museum of Art has received as a present a picture in 1952, but as the complaint says, hasn't made due investigation for establishment of an origin of the work of art. After several years of incorrect cataloguing, in 2011 the museum at last recognized the right of a Leffmann family on possession of a picture. Having learned about it, the claimant has demanded to return "Actor".скачать dle 10.6фильмы бесплатно
